Adjustability is the most important feature of any ergonomic chair. On the most basic level, it’s always necessary to adjust an ergonomic chair so that it can give you the ideal fit for your body. However, simply being adjustable isn’t enough. The best ergonomic chairs have a wide range of adjustable parts, and each part will have multiple settings. Equally important is that the adjustment process is easy, meaning that the mechanisms can be easily reached and operated while you’re sitting in the chair. In many ways, the most adjustable chair is likely to be the best chair.
As previously touched upon, you will need to evaluate how long on average your visitors will be seated while waiting to be seen. If your guests will need to sit awhile to be seen, you will want to ensure you make their wait as comfortable and pleasant as possible. In this case you will want to avoid guest chairs upholstered in firm materials such as vinyl that may cause a firm sit or leather which can be uncomfortable to sit in if your office is located in a hot climate. Vinyl and leather, however, are beneficial in environments where an easy to clean chair is needed such as around kids who are prone to causing spills and stains. Fabric and mesh materials are always a safe bet to ensure comfort and quality when extended sitting times are to be expected.
For older babies and toddlers, high chairs may include more "fun" options such as toys or colorful trays. This age range probably makes up the majority of high chair users, as these are the kids doing the messiest eating of solids. As with all types of baby gear, it’s nice to look for a chair that can fold up and be put out of the way when not in use. Hook on high chairs are a nice option for traveling, restaurant use, or for families with eating areas too small for a full-sized high chair. These hook on baby chairs can be used for an age range of six month old babies through toddlers weighing up to 37 pounds. Since these chairs cannot recline, they cannot be used with babies unable to hold up their heads.
